This is a great story. I love it. It's really clever of you to tell the story in present tense (like it's happening write now as the reader reads it) and in first-person (Using 'I' to show that the author is the main character). This makes your story really feel alive and that I'm watching you live through it, the nervousness, the excitement, the Pshhhing smoke machine. That was my favourite part.
